The following positions are
available for the 2008-2009 school year:
Mt. Pleasant Support Association
POSITION- Media Assistant - Rosebush and
Salary Schedule:
$10.06 - $12.64
Work Days: Same as Teachers’ scheduled days
Work Hours 3 at Rosebush and 3 at McGuire
QUALIFICATIONS:
Two years post secondary education, required
Knowledge or computer programs (word processing,
databases, spreadsheets,
desktop publishing)
Knowledge of telecommunications (electronic mail,
automated library circulation
Internet)
JOB GOAL:
To provide a well-organized, smoothly functioning
media center/library and to assist
media specialist, teachers and
students in effective use of all available materials and
services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist students in the utilization of media equipment,
computers, copy machines,
scanners, burning CD's and
projectors.
Provide students resource selections and guidance under
supervision of the library
media specialist.
Assist
with inventory procedures, utilization of media equipment and utilization of
information retrieval systems.
Dewey
Decimal System to organize, arrange and retrieve books.
Maintain
the automated book system
Create
student and staff ID numbers for computer account and password.
